My name is Betsy Erickson, and I am a born and raised Casperite. I was fortunate enough to be in Montessori environments from the time I was 3 years old until I graduated elementary school. My first job was working as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the YMCA. In 2013, I graduated from the University of Wyoming at Casper with a Bachelor's in English Literature. In 2015 I started working in a Montessori environment as an assistant. That fall I attended a Montessori conference and was moved and inspired to pursue my own Montessori training.  

In the fall of 2016, I moved to St.Paul MN where I spent the academic year in an AMI (Association of Montessori Internationale) training program. I graduated with my AMI diploma in 2017 and went on to earn my Master's in Education through St. Catherine's University. I have nine years of experience in Montessori environments. In 2021 I received my children's yoga certification through Kidding Around Yoga. 

My husband and I live with our two children ages 2 years old and 5 years old. When I'm not reading books about Montessori theory or about parenting I also enjoy reading fantasy and thrillers. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, practicing yoga, cooking, fishing, and camping.
